Part of the Haitian diaspora experience is a culture of books, writing, and art. It’s how history is kept alive, contrasting with ways Haiti is portrayed in the news. The Koze Ink Collective brings people together for conversation and connection. A community-oriented Substack where mental health isn’t stigmatized from Dr. Naomi Dambreville.

I’m a Black clinical psychologist who’s passionate about blending the worlds of psychology, diverse storytelling, and mental health education. Whether it’s unpacking the psychological insights found in literature or diving into diverse narratives that reflect our collective experiences, this space is where I read a lot, write a bit, and strive to be in community with you as we discover the power of being seen and being known one word and one page at a time.
